These specially designed heads mount to your own tripod (or ballhead and plate system, depending on the model) and "balance" those long, heavy lenses! Great for panning, following fast action, and ease of movement. A Wimberley head puts an end to heavy lenses that drop down on regular ball heads. Money-back guaranteed. Request a free brochure. Ask for Clay or David Wimberley.

PHOTO LABS & SERVICES

  • West Coast Imaging (WCI)
    49774 Road 426, Suite B
    Oakhurst, CA 93644
    PHONE: (559) 641-7338 or (800) 799-4576 (9 to 5 Pacific Time)
    FAX: (559)641-7880
    EMAIL: Info@WestCoastImaging.com

This professional imaging company has worked with a variety of photographers since 1992, helping them to "go digital." From their website, you'll find links to find information about scans, prints and other services, as well as articles on digital imaging (READ ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE THAT JERRY JIVIDEN HAD WITH WCI). WCI not only offers the necessary tools for a photographer to join the digital revolution, but an aesthetic knowledge of photography that you'll notice with the first scan or print.

As photographers with extensive experience in the field, WCI uses digital imaging because of what it offers us: exceptional sharpness and color accuracy; color prints more archival than any other well-known method available; black-and-white prints that rival and surpass those made in traditional darkrooms; and repeatability.

  • Slide Service International
    123 E. Spring Street
    Columbus, OH 43215
    PHONE: (614) 461-1262
    FAX: (614) 461-5979

For more than 20 years, SSI has been serving the needs of serious photographers as a full-service color lab--locally and for out-of-state photographers. Located in Central Ohio, SSI offers a wide range of products and services including: color negative process and printing; direct positive R3 printing; black & white process and printing; E6 processing and duplication services; and copy services and digital imaging.

This is the lab that processes the majority of our transparencies, and SSI has been our lab for more than 10 years (so they've processed thousands upon thousands of our valuable stock photos). We are very pleased with their services and prices.

You can either request plastic or cardboard mounts for your slides, and you can even ask for "Dip and Dunk" processing, like we do. For plastic mounts, SSI can consecutively number your mounts and print several lines of copyright info and/or your name and contact information upon request. What a time-saving service! SSI can also add graphics and/or text to your images and produce new title slides for presentations.

For "out-of-towners," you may simply ship your film with instructions for processing and return shipping to SSI, along with your credit card information. SSI will take care of your order and ship it you...anywhere! This is great if you prefer shipping your film directly to the lab when you're traveling. You don't need to worry about keeping your film cool for extra days, protecting it from loss while traveling, and getting your film hand-checked at the airport if you're flying home from a photo trip. Just ship your exposed film to SSI and they'll take care of the rest!
